Composer William V Malpede holds a Graduate Certificate in Film
Scoring from USC, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business from
Elmhurst College. After touring as principle keyboardist with CATS,
JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT (Donny
Osmond), and MUSIC OF THE NIGHT (Melissa Manchester and Betty
Buckley), William settled in Los Angeles. Film orchestration,
production and scoring credits include RUNAWAY JURY,
SPIDERMAN 3, BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, RANGO, CRIES
FROM SYRIA, ANOTHER HARVEST MOON, and co-written songs
with Rick Garcia for the Disney Junior Productions, “QUIET IS” and
LUCKY DUCK. His award-winning choral and wind ensemble music
has been performed by VocalEssence, The Singers, The L.A. Choral
Lab, the CSUN Women’s Chorale, and the CSUN Wind Ensemble and
he is published with Hal Leonard, Pavane, and MusicSpoke. In addition
to composing production music, working on films and original projects
with renowned cellist Martin Tillman, William is also a lecturer of
Music in Film at California State University, Northridge.
